I'm guessing that as you read this blog you will discover rather quickly that our family isn't normal. We're weird, kooky, silly, serious (sometimes), and boisterous (that's a word I've been trying to use more frequently). But we're also fun. And funny. And we love each other. And not one of us likes the fact that we live far away from each other and don't get to be together very often.
If that first paragraph is news to you, then you must be one of the few people reading this who aren't related to or in close contact with the Rohde family. Welcome! Please peruse a little bit and leave us a lot of comments so that a) we know you're out there and b) we can interact! Blogging simply to have your own writing exist somewhere on the internet is stupid. There has to be some interaction from readers for it to be fun and not completely pointless.

I agree with your mother but I'm new to this mother-in-law thing and I'm trying really hard...so, of course, I voted for Jase's eyes!!! I'm wondering who your mother voted for?????????
Well, Becky, the poll question is not designed for people to vote based on anything but honesty. If your vote for Jase's eyes were simply because you're now his mother-in-law, it's a cryin' shame. :)

Jake, please don't think people have been voting based solely on honesty. It is obviously political. As the standings currently have it, you have three more friends than Jaron, I have two more than you, and Jase has 12 friends. Just callin it like it is man...just callin it like it is.
I don't think it's the number of friends we have as much as it is the size of our online presence. I have a HUGE online presence whereas Jaron has a nearly non-existent online presence. His two votes came from him and mom (I know mom as a fact, not sure if Jaron even knows this blog exists). But as we all know, size doesn't matter (insert fat joke here. Mom voted for Jaron knowing he Is an online phantom. Joel, what did you think of my transparent screen illusion?
Tis true, I voted for Jaron out of sympathy. I don't have a favorite. I think you all have beautiful eyes and they all look just like mine of course;)
